Gusto 101, in Toronto’s thriving King Street West neighbourhood, is as busy today as the day it opened in 2012. With design firm Munge Leung, owner Janet Zuccarini transformed a former dilapidated auto repair garage into a cozy industrial enoteca. In addition to serving up fresh authentic Italian dishes ... with some global twists, Gusto boasts several firsts that have made Toronto’s restaurant aficionados take notice: first restaurant in Toronto to sell wine-on-tap for $1 an ounce; first restaurant patio in the city to have an all-seasons retractable glass roof.
The Role
- Clear tables and re-set according to restaurant standards
- Transport cutlery and plates from dish pit, glassware to bar
- Polish clean cutlery and make roll-ups for table settings
- Stock server station with polished plates and glassware
- Set up and close floor before and after service with the service team
- Follow Health and Safety Standards when handling food
- Support service team
- Attend regularly scheduled training meetings to develop knowledge and skills
Who You Are
The right person for this role has a strong hospitality leadership background and prioritizes both guest and team member experience. The ideal candidate is equal parts people and process-driven with an aptitude for creating efficiencies at all levels of the business.
Preference will be given to those who possess:

- The natural spirit to work well with other team members
- A level of comfort with the physicality of the role
